Fries by Ken Catran - Genre - New Zealannd literature

This book was about a boy called Paul who loved fries. There was also Pauls step dad who is the princeipal of his school, and who we all call Mr Walker. So the fries factory was closing down and for Paul and his friends, this was really bad. So when the factory closed weird things started to happen, kinda like old man viser who is the maker/the first owner of the factory who died, comes up from his grave. And the white stones from his grave randomly flying through the air and mysteriously falling in random places. And in the end there was bomb that Paul and his step dad saved. (That part was a bit drematic. Just saying.)

I really enjoyed this book so I rate this book an 8/10.

This book is about a girl who wanted to raise money so she can make a snail farm at school. She got the idea because her Dad was going on a trip to go save the snails. Her and her friends created a club called the Lotus Lane Girls Club. They made the snail farm and Coco brought the snails from her own garden and took them to school.

This book is a short story but it was my Duffy book I got from my old school. If you want to read it you will have to ask me nicely. I think I want rate this book 10/10

outlanders

  This book is about Rhiane. Who has lived her hole live in the walls of dome. After she goes outside, there are rumors that she carries and deadly virus. People think that outside there are monsters named outlanders but what she sees is different. She paints a pitcher that puts her in court.
I thourt this book challenged me.

Something Weird About Mr Foster. Genre - New Zealand literature

This book was about a boy called joe who findes out that one of the teachers (Mr Foster) was alian. Joe  gets bullied by this bully called Raymond who then kind of gets bullyed by joe, for a bit. Joe also helps Mr Fosters alian life, like Mr Foster fading away and joe having to break some rules just to fing a place for Mr Foster to charge up. Kind of. But then in the end joe gets chased by patsy, her crew and a bunch of angery netball girls, saves Mr Foster and becomes friends with Raymond.

I really enjoyed this book so I would rate this book an 8/10.

Muscle cars is a book about muscle cars witch are cars from about 1967 to about 72 when the oil chrisis in merica🏎.They were not called muscle cars when they came out and for good reasons they had upwards of 400 hp(300kw).They were blistering fast in the case of the Dodge charger Daytona wich could do 200 mph(321kmh)they were ceap but that was the reason they were toned down in hp (as well as the oil crisis).

cars is a Book about   super cars it tells you about how fast  cars like he ferrari f40 ad mclaren f1 his car holds he world record of fastest all motor car reaching 250 mph. buggati was a luxury car company in the 1920s and 30s it was the first company to put rubber wheels on a car.They came back from the dead in 1991 to 1995 and had a top speed of 216 mph.They came out with the veyron super sport that could go 258 mph.

There are 8 stories in this book. I will describe a little bit of some of the stories. One of them was how this person says 'without a shirt' after he finish his words. Other on is there were so many flies that couldn't see through their windows. Another one is a boy who had fairy fabric underpants which made he faster and stronger.

I think that this book is interesting book and I think that everyone should get this book. You can get this at the school library so it will be easy to find. I think I rate this book 10/10.

clary's mother gets kidnapped and Jason finds clary and helps her Jason knows about her mother being a shadow hunter so he has to tell clary. clarys finds out because the tattoos on Jason's body. while Jason  Clary and Simon find clarys mother she start to have memories showing up in her mind so she goes to the City Of Bones to uncover her hidden memories but when she goes in theirs every single skull of the fallen shadow hunters. but there was a block in clary's mind which means only the person who put it there could take it back. as clary was drawing symbols she puts her cup of tea onto her book but then realizes that her tea was actually inside the book like a printed piece of paper.soon she finds out were they put her mother and where the cup of the gods is. Madam Dorothea has cards that clarys mum painted but one of them has the ace of cups which is a painting of the cup of the gods clary slowly reaches into the cup and feels something she pulls it out a out came the original cup of the gods.and now a demons and shadow hunters that betrayed each other is after clary ,Jason and Simon alongside with Jason's  team and all together they fight against  the bad and bring clarys mum back.

Frog Whistle Mine. Genre - New Zealand literature

This book is about this 12 year old boy called Tony whos been traveling with his Mum (Christine) to find a place to settle.
when they arrive to Charlstone, a gold mining ghost town Christine finds a job. So they choose to stay there for the summer.
Tony meets lots of nice people like, Betty, Lofty, Fred, Jamie Duggan, Nick and of course Rose who is also staying in Charlston for the summer.
In a strange ghost towm yo obviously expect strange things to happen like Toney staying in an old and rusty caravan, then all of a sudden he's seeing things like ghost, rats, possems, and even weka rumeging around in Tonys caravan and wreking everything when the door was shut closed.
In the end Tony and Rose relises it was Jamie Duggan. He has been doing it because of his wife who died years ago, abd he can't coltroll himself. Duggan has also been collecting urainum from the mine (The mine is called Frog Whistle Mine).
In the real end after the earthquake that struck on new years day, Christine and Niick decide to get married and Tonys life changes.

I really enjoyed this book and it really interested me and I could easly pictur what was going on in my head. I rate this book a 10/10.

Fly Away Home By Patricia Hermes.

This story is about a Father and his daughter, Amy, who found a nest of goose eggs.
She brought them home and helped them to hatch. When the goose hatched they thought Amy waqs their Mother so they followed and coppied her.
But the goose cound not stay with her forever as winter was comming and they needed to migrate. How ever, they dodn't know how to fly. Then Amy and her Father take on responsibility to teach them to fly and help them to migrate frrom Canada to North Carolina.

I really enjoyed this book and picturing it in my head wasn't that hard to do. I woyld have to rate this book a 8/10.
